Description:
This is my third month to chart. I had never heard of FAM until I decided to go off bc. My husband and I decided this looked like a good alternative. I can't figure this month out at all. We have had a lot going on this month, but I've had not thermal shift and I was suppose I should start my period next week. I borrow the TCOYF book from the library, but I think I'm going to need to purchase my own so I can review charting and what it all means. Any advice in reading this chart?

I think that there is chance that you ovulated on CD16.  You could add OPKs for added info.  Good luck.

I started my period today, not next week like I though I would. My temperature today has an X on it instead of a circle. What does that mean?

If you checked "disturbance" on your calendar, the software will mark that temp with an X and not connect it. I think it does that for early/late temps too. If you didn't get much sleep, were traveling, were sick, etc. etc. it can mess with your temps. I would definitely buy your own copy of the book (used is fine) to refer back to. BTW, it took me 14 months for my body to readjust coming off bc. I hope you love FAM, I'll never go on bc again!!

Apply the "rule of thumb" to CD 10, CD14, & CD19 then move your coverline to 97.7.  Then you've got O on CD 16 and a 13 day LP.  You don't have huge temp shift but if you look closely, it's there.  Are you temping at the same time everyday?

Pretty close; 6:15 - 6:30 AM everyday.

I'm impressed by your timing.  I'm bad at taking my temp on time, but my temps are really stable so I get away with it.  One other thing that helps a lot of people is to switch to tempting vaginally.  It's a lot more accurate.  Good luck!
